Replacing a pot light bulb takes as long as a regular light bulb. The average lifespan of a halogen bulb is 2000 hours.
Q. Why is it more expensive to install pot lights on the top floor?
The top floor has an insulated ceiling, and according to the Electrical Code of Ontario, all pot lights must be contained in an IC box (insulated ceiling box).
Therefore, additional labor and materials are required for top floor installations.
